Frequently Asked Questions

Who supervises the dancers?

Each group of 3–4 dancers is paired with a volunteer room mom who stays with them in the hotel room, helps with meals, and keeps tabs on their schedule all weekend. Thrive staff is also onsite throughout the weekend and in every dance room.

What are the hotel and travel arrangements?

We’ll be staying at the Courtyard Indianapolis Downtown, which is directly connected to the convention venue (JW Marriott). We travel as a group from Thrive and return together on Sunday.

How do meals work?

All meals are included. Thrive provides breakfast and lunch in a private food room and we go out together as a group for dinner each night. Allergy-friendly meals (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free) are always available.

How do I stay in the loop during the weekend?

We use the Band app for real-time updates, videos, and photos throughout the weekend so you can follow along and feel connected.

Will I be able to watch my dancer in class?

Dance Makers no longer allows outside observers in classrooms. However, Thrive teachers will be in each room and will share highlights with parents via Band.

What if there’s an emergency?

We’ll share emergency contact numbers and have a clear plan in place. Thrive staff and your dancer’s room mom will always be reachable, and our designated emergency meetup location is the hotel lobby or exterior front entrance.
